Salisbury Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance Nov. 7 at Waffle House, 926 S. Jake Alexander Blvd.
While interviewing those at the scene, it became apparent to Officer B. Hodgson that one of the women, Brendetta Shawntrice Russell, 34, of 116 Suggs Ave., No. 1, "reeked of alcohol" and had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Russell was arrested for DWI.
While attempting to get her in Officer Karriker's vehicle, Hodgson reported she resisted and began kicking him.

Auckland-based EMS-Cortex has been chosen by Unisys to supply software as a service provisioning and management software for Unisys' global cloud services.
The software, called Cortex, enables secure communication and collaboration in Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint and Office Communication Services environments.
It provides control panel capability which enables hosted services to be set up and managed through a single interface.
